Eggnog, spiced cider, and mulled wine are all holiday party must-haves, but if, like us, you wouldn’t mind deviating from the same-old this year, consider these three fabulous coffee cocktails for your holiday party. They’ll be well received after decades of spiked nog and sugary cider.
This whiskey-based cocktail features Orangerie, a Scotch whiskey infused with orange peel, clove, and cassia.
4 oz. strong cold-brew coffee
1 tablespoon demerara sugar
4 oz. fernet (preferably Contratto)
3 oz. amaro (preferably Barolo Chinato)
3 oz. Compass Box Whisky Co. Orangerie or Grand Marnier
4 orange twists (for serving)
For those with a predilection for icy coffee drinks and potent Irish libations, this one is for you.
2 oz. strong cold-brew coffee
2 oz. stout (such as AleSmith Speedway or Guinness)
1½ oz. Irish whiskey
¾ oz. simple syrup
1/2 ounce heavy cream
Freshly grated cinnamon stick (for serving)
