Coffee has always been fuel for creativity, and these fine films only prove our point. If you haven’t already, brew up a fresh pot, slip into your comfortable binge watching clothes, and check out these three coffee-centered films:

Black Gold

Black Gold is a touching 2006 feature-length documentary that follows the efforts of an Ethiopian Coffee Union manager as he travels the world to obtain a better price for his workers’ coffee beans.

Hot Coffee

Hot Coffee is a 2011 documentary film that analyzes and discusses the impact of tort reform on the United States judicial system. The title is derived from and the film relies heavily on the landmark Liebeck v. McDonald’s Restaurants lawsuit, in which the plaintiff Liebeck was severely burned after spilling into her lap hot coffee purchased from a McDonald’s.

Barista

This thrilling film follows five baristas as they prepare for the 2013 United States Barista Championship, painting coffee as a craft culture, not unlike that of beer and wine.
